Denver Regional Nurses Association

Announcing Our New Name: Denver Regional Nurses Association

Posted 3 months ago

The Denver Regional Nightingale Association (DRNA) is proud to announce that we have changed our name to the Denver Regional Nurses Association.

This rebranding reflects our commitment to inclusivity, respect for historical context, and alignment with the Colorado Nurses Foundation's (CNF) evolving mission and values.

Why We Rebranded

This decision was made in conjunction with the Colorado Nurses Foundation's rebranding efforts to better capture the essence of nursing today. The new name reflects our shared dedication to recognizing the exceptional practice and rich diversity of nurses across Colorado. It underscores our goal to honor nurses in a way that resonates with their current roles and contributions while maintaining a connection to the values that have shaped our profession.

Key Considerations Behind the New Name

  1. Inclusivity: The new name embraces the full spectrum of nursing roles and contributions, celebrating the evolving landscape of the profession.
  2. Legacy and Relevance: While moving away from a direct association with Florence Nightingale, the new name upholds the spirit of her work—compassion, care, leadership, and innovation.
  3. Clarity and Prestige: The name reflects the importance and distinction of the awards, ensuring they continue to highlight significant achievements in nursing.

Colorado Nurses Foundation's  New Awards Ceremony Name

We are also excited to share that the name of the CNF gala and recognition awards ceremony has been updated to: The Colorado Nurses Foundation Excellence in Nursing Awards.

This new name reflects the prestige and purpose of the event, further aligning it with our mission to celebrate nursing excellence in Colorado.

We look forward to continuing our tradition of honoring the remarkable contributions of nurses who advance the profession and improve patient outcomes. Thank you for your continued support as we embrace this new chapter.
