The Mile High Nurses Honor Guard pays tribute to nurses at the time of their death by performing the Nightingale Tribute at the funeral or memorial service. This service is similar to a military tribute and officially releases the nurse from their nursing duties.
Services

Attend services wearing all white uniforms, blue capes

Stand guard at casket or provide presence at visitation

Recite ‘Nurses Prayer’ at service or celebration of life

Present Florence Nightingale lamp to family

Place on casket or hand white rose at end to signify devotion to the nursing profession

No cost to family
Membership
-
Volunteer nurses giving back to the profession

$10 dues initial year (capes $65); $35 going forward (for lamps, roses)

Whites - uniform/scrubs, hose, nurses shoes, cap
